    • Biography

      Mary has a multifaceted array of teaching experiences ranging from preschool to adult learning.  Her area of expertise is in reading and language development.  The settings in which she has taught include private, public, and online education working with both intervention students as well as gifted in reading and writing. She continues her online instruction with children. At the college level, she has taught at Columbus State Community College in the Developmental Education division of the English Department supporting students in critical reading and writing since 2011.  Since coming to Capital University in 2015 as an adjunct professor, she has had the privilege of training and supervising preservice teachers through her work in the School of  Education.  In addition, she provides tutoring for the Reading and Writing Praxis Exams as well as the Ohio Assessment for Educators (OAE) Foundations of Reading Exam.
