Dr. Clymer is an inorganic chemist and have been a chemistry professor at Capital since 1990. Recent interest have been sparked by special topics courses in batteries and solar cells. The new materials and technologies to better harvest and store the energy from the sun will be an exciting and developing field for years to come. In recent years students working with him have modified electrode surfaces to improve surface properties for charge storage, and made nanoparticles for modification of solar cells. He is looking forward to continuing in this exciting and developing field.
