    • Biography

      Taylor Mullin is an instructor in the School of Nursing at Capital University. Taylor graduated from Mount Carmel College of Nursing in 2018. After graduation, she began working in the oncology operating at The James Comprehensive Cancer Center. Her clinical practice focuses on thoracic and gynecological cancers. Taylor is also a CNOR (certified nurse in the operating room).

      Taylor is active in mentoring students on the capital university student nurses association and the Ohio students nurses association, where she has been active since she was a nursing student.

      Taylor is currently working on obtaining her Ph.D. in nursing from The Ohio State University. She is focusing her research on HPV vaccination and cervical cancer diagnosis and how social determinants of health are barriers to proper prevention of HPV and cancer.

      Currently, she teaches at the junior and senior levels in medical-surgical nursing and a perioperative nursing elective course. She has taught in both the traditional and accelerated/hybrid programs and has experience with online and hybrid teaching. Taylor has grown to love teaching. Taylor is a recent recipient of the expert in a nursing award from the Mid Ohio District Nurses Association (2021) and the Sigma Thera Tau Theta Theta Chapter Vice President.
