Master of Arts in Education (School Administration)
As a teacher, you’ve treasured the difference you can make in an individual student’s life. Over the years, your impact and your ability to lead have grown. Now you find it’s time to step to the next level — and consider the difference you can make as a school administrator.
Working education professionals from throughout the Columbus Region have made Capital University their destination for a Master of Arts in Education (School Administration) degree. That’s no surprise. Our faculty, our flexible programming, our students and our campus combine to deliver the skills, knowledge and professional network today’s educational leaders need if they are to continue achieving the quality and better student outcomes society needs to grow and prosper.
Our program, which can be completed in fewer than two years, combines the convenience of online courses, on-campus classes and personal interaction with your professors, peers and faculty advisor. In the course of your study, you will take classes that merge the latest theory, research and best practices that today’s most sought-after education administrators need to succeed. The program also emphasizes cross-curricular learning, incorporating foundational courses taught by select business professors of Capital’s MBA program. As a student and graduate, you’ll tap into a tight network of administrative professionals whose connections and insight you’ll rely on for guidance, professional growth and community long after you earn your degree. We call it CapFam, and it’s lifelong. Upon completing your course of study, you will be ready to take the Ohio Principal Licensure exam.
Capital’s renowned teaching faculty includes both distinguished professors and researchers as well as working educational professionals from throughout central Ohio and across the state. In learning from them and working alongside them, you’ll be joining a vibrant network of established educators you can turn to for guidance, career opportunities and insight for years to come.
There’s no better way to evaluate the quality of our graduate programs than in person. We urge all potential candidates to come to campus for an information session and meet with faculty members, staff and current students. While our brochures and website offer lots of vital information, they can’t replace the personal interaction available through these invaluable live encounters. So take that next step. Come to campus. Ask questions. Get answers. Find out if Capital’s Master of Arts in Education (Administration) is right for you.
