Transferring to Capital is easy and each year transfer students make up 15% of our new students. Capital University is committed to challenging students and creating a personalized learning environment that is free from prohibited discrimination and harassment. The University prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national and ethnic origin, sexual orientation, class, religion, sex and gender, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law, and admits qualified students to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students. Decisions are made on a rolling basis with admission letters sent weekly. Most students hear back within 2-4 weeks of submitting application materials.

Now that you’ve taken the first step and submitted your application, it’s time to take the next steps toward transferring to Capital.
You must audition with your primary instrument for acceptance into the Conservatory of Music. An audition application is required after you are academically accepted to Capital. Candidates for the Conservatory of Music should demonstrate satisfactory work in college-level music courses.
