ESL Application Deadlines (for students applying from outside the United States)
- Fall Semester deadline: Apply before June 1
- Spring Semester deadline: Apply before October 1
- Summer Semester deadline: Apply before March 1
To apply to our ESL Program, follow the directions on the application form. A completed ESL application includes:
- Submit your online application.
- Pay the $25 nonrefundable application fee online (by credit card only)
- Official records/transcripts from all high school and university study
- For F-1 visa students, proof of funds to study in the form of current bank statements or an Affidavit of Support (PDF)
- Photocopy of your passport identification page
Note to ESL transfer students:
In addition to the standard application materials required above, students transferring to Capital University from another U.S. institution must work with an international student advisor to complete the International Transfer Form. Also, if the student is transferring from an ESL program in the United States, he or she must submit the latest grade report from the ESL program in addition to the high school and university transcripts. If you are currently in the U.S, we also require you to attach a copy of the front and back of the I-94 form, visa pages, and other immigration document (form I-20 or DS-2019, etc.).
For students starting classes in or after January 2016, there is a $25 nonrefundable application fee for ESL program; in addition, Capital University uses University Express Mail Services (eshipglobal) to ship all documents via express mail.
