    Use this helpful checklist when applying to the Capital University MBA Program.


    Checkmark SUBMIT AN ONLINE APPLICATION


    The online application can be found at getstarted.capital.edu. Include the following item when completing your online application:
    Respond to one of the following questions in an essay of no more than 500 words:

    » Describe a substantial accomplishment in your life that illustrates the qualities you will bring to the Capital MBA program, and what you learned from this experience.
    - or -
    » Describe a significant challenge in your life that illustrates the qualities you will bring to the Capital MBA program, and what you learned from this experience.


     Checkmark CURRENT RÉSUMÉ


    Capital is looking for three years work experience for admission.
    Résumés can be uploaded to your application.


     Checkmark REQUEST OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS


    Request official transcripts from all undergraduate institutions attended.
    Transcripts can be mailed directly to:

    Adult and Graduate Education
    Capital University
    1 College and Main
    Columbus, OH 43209-2394

     International transcripts require a World Education Services course by course evaluation. (The evaluation is waived for those with a valid U.S. degree. Official transcripts still required.)


     Checkmark MINIMUM OF TWO PROFESSIONAL REFERENCES

    The individuals providing your recommendation will be emailed the reference form after you enter their contact information on the application. Once submitted, the reference form and letter of recommendation will be uploaded to your application.


     Checkmark PERSONAL INTERVIEW


    A personal interview with the MBA Director may be requested.


     Checkmark GMAT


    Candidates with at least 4 years of professional experience and an undergraduate GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale will automatically be waived from the GMAT requirement. Candidates who do not meet this criteria for automatic waiver may request a waiver by providing a personal statement (maximum of 250 words) explaining why their circumstances merit a waiver. Waiver requests will be evaluated by the admissions committee which may request additional information.


     Checkmark FINANCIAL AID


    If you plan on utilizing financial aid to help pay for your courses, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.FAFSA.ed.gov. Capital’s FAFSA code is 003023.
