Following his experience over the last six months as a senior consultant for Capital University, Mark Pringle has been named director of Human Resources.An experienced human resources leader, Pringle brings the ability to align performance management processes to organizational goals and objectives; develop business strategy; manage benefits creation and restructuring; foster employee engagement; and offer management coaching. “Capital University has proved to be a special place, with people who are passionate in what they do while maintaining a deep commitment to the mission of the University,” Pringle said. “I look forward to continuing and enhancing my relationship with the CapFam.”In addition to employee relations, his experience includes career development strategies; labor relations; creating healthy and inclusive cultures within the workplace; and attracting talent. His accomplishments, coupled with his experience at Capital, have helped shape his vision of Human Resources leadership that provides not only functionality and oversight of the office, but also partners to ensure Capital is a highly desired employment destination. Pringle came to Capital as a senior human resources consultant with Sequent, a human resources consulting and outsourcing firm. His previous employment includes working as a consultant with Patina Solutions; vice president of Human Resources at M/I Homes; and director of Human Resources at Sterling Commerce. He also has held positions in human resources with Ashland, Inc., Cole National/Cole Gift, Fabri-Centers of America, and United Parcel Service.Pringle earned a Bachelor of Science degree in communications from Ohio University. He currently serves as a board member with Homeport Inc., an organization that has given greater security, opportunity and dignity to thousands of low-income people by building quality, affordable homes; and former board member for March of Dimes in Northeast Ohio and Boy Scouts of America in the Cleveland area.He also is coauthoring an upcoming book on employee engagement.
