Capital University's Nursing Program will resume its "Older But Bolder" series on active aging, September 20 at Huntington Recital Hall in Mees Hall. The presentation will begin at 7 PM and feature Suzanne Kincaid, LISW-S/MSW, Mental health provider at OhioHealth.Kincaid's presentation will provide an overview of signs and symptoms of caregiver stress and burnout, with an emphasis on understanding the benefits of resilience practices. Participants will learn and practice 3-4 resiliency techniques that can be used to promote mental health. There also will be an opportunity to engage in lively discussion and learn practical skills that can be used in daily life.In addition to Kincaid's presentation, Cora Muñoz, Ph.D., RN, Professor Emerita of Nursing at Capital University will provide information about Mental Health First Aid Training.
