    • Capital University Announces Tuition for 2019-2020

Capital Gate Capital University has announced tuition, fees, room and board rates for the 2019-2020 academic year.

Total cost of attendance for undergraduate students, including tuition, room and board, will increase by an average of 4 percent. Fees for student activities, health and wellness, and technology will remain flat.

One notable exception to the 4 percent increase in room rates is the price of Capital Commons Apartments, which will be fully renovated this summer with hardwood floors, new furniture, stoves and refrigerators, interior and exterior painting, refinished bathrooms, new LED lighting, new flooring in the bathrooms and kitchens, and microwaves. Upon completion, Capital Commons Apartments will be a top-tier residence hall.

Tuition for graduate programs and bachelor’s degree completion programs, which are priced per credit hour, will increase from 0 percent to 4 percent depending on the program, while pricing for Capital’s Master of Taxation program will be reduced to align it with pricing for the Master of Business Administration. Capital offers graduate degrees in business, law, nursing, education, music, divinity, ministry and theology. Tuition for Capital’s two newest graduate programs, Master of Legal Studies and Executive Leadership Doctor of Nursing Practice, was set at $676 and $950 per credit hour, respectively.

Illustrating its continued commitment to helping students and families afford a Capital education, the university invests about $49.5 million annually in university-funded financial aid. Capital also launched its new Good Guarantee this year, which promises full-time undergraduates who work for, or whose parents or guardians work for, nonprofits or public service organizations will pay no more than half tuition at Capital. The bulk of that aid supports traditional undergraduate students, 100 percent of whom receive some type of scholarship or grant. The remainder of university-funded financial aid supports graduate students. For more information, or to speak with a financial aid counselor, email finaid@capital.edu or call 866-544-6175, extension 6511.

Capital consistently is ranked among the top Midwest master’s universities by U.S. News & World Report’s America’s Best Colleges, Best Value Schools and Best Colleges for Veterans, and Forbes Top Colleges.
