    Trinity Lutheran Seminary at Capital University Commencement Ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 16th in the Gloria Dei Worship Center. The schedule of the day will be posted at the beginning of the Spring 2020 semester.

    Application for Graduation

    If you are planning to graduate in May 2020 and participate in the commencement ceremony, please fill out the application for graduation through Webadvisor no later than Friday, December 13th, 2019.

    Graduation Requirements

    • Application for graduation received by the registrar
    • Required coursework
    • Incompletes
    • Official transcripts
    • Any other materials related to the completion of the degree

    All students who have completed the above requirements may receive their diplomas at the Commencement ceremony. Students who complete degree requirements and graduated in Summer or Fall Terms are also eligible to participate in the Commencement Ceremony.

    Financial Obligations: All bills and fees must be paid prior to graduation. If your account is not completely cleared by graduation, neither diplomas nor transcripts will be issued. Contact the Finance Office at 614-236-6216 if you have any questions in regards to your account.

    Ceremony Information: Rehearsal, Graduate Lineup, Ceremony and Diplomas

    Commencement Rehearsal
    • Commencement Rehearsal will be held Friday, May 15th in Gloria Dei Chapel. Times will be posted at the beginning of the Spring 2020 semester. If you are planning to participate in the commencement on May 16th, you must attend rehearsal on the 15th. 
    • Ceremony: Each graduate is individually recognized as they cross the stage and will be provided with their diplomas in a padded envelope. 

    Caps, Gowns, and Barnes & Noble Bookstore

    • All graduates can purchase their environmentally safe Caps and Gowns from the Barnes & Noble Bookstore. 
    • Individual Items can be purchased a la carte.
    • Hoods for all graduates will be provided by the seminary and collected after the commencement ceremony.


    • All faculty and staff should park behind public safety in the S6 lot the day of commencement. 
    • Public Parking – All guests have access to all F and S parking lots on campus, but we suggest parking in the F7 and S8 lots for easy access to the Seminary. Please see map here. 
    • Handicap Parking – There are several accessible parking spaces in the F7 and S8 lots and handicap access on the lower level of the seminary. There is also an elevator located down the hall on the left of the lower level.
