     2022 Nelson W. Trout Lectures 
    The Trout Lectures honor the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Nelson W. Trout (1920-1996).  He was a Trinity Lutheran Seminary alumnus, a member of the Trinity faculty, and the first African American elected to serve as a Lutheran bishop.  This year, we are honored to host Bishop Yehiel Curry as our 2022 Trout Lecturer.

  • Reaffirmation of Accreditation Visit: 
    Trinity Lutheran Seminary at Capital University is hosting a comprehensive evaluation visit for reaffirmation of accreditation by the ATS Commission on Accrediting on February 14-17, 2022. The purpose of this visit is to verify that the school meets all applicable Commission Standards of Accreditation. Comments regarding how well the school meets those standards and/or generally demonstrates educational quality may be sent to the ATS Director of Commission Information Services (; 412-788-6505) at least two weeks before the visit. Comments may also or instead be sent in writing to the Seminary's Accreditation Committee (, 614-236-6612). All comments will be shared with the onsite evaluation committee.
