Description

This position requires an individual(s) who is responsible for the creation, editing, and publication of video and other social media content for Capital Athletics. This position will work closely with all 20 varsity athletics teams in the hopes of improving our video and visual content presence both on social media and on the Bernlohr Stadium video board. This may include preseason “hype” video production, sideline video capturing, “highlight” videos from during the seasons, and agreed upon social media segments. Other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate would be expected to be comfortable sharing their ideas and building plans for developing content that they feel would positively engage with the CapFam and the followers of all Capital Athletics social media accounts. This candidate would be expected to attend at minimum 1-2 practices or games per week to capture video of competition for use in these videos. Lastly, the ideal candidate for this position would be someone who likes athletics, who desires to work in this field in the long run, who likes to have fun, and who is creative!

Qualifications

Be pursuing a degree in the area of Film & Media Production, Communications, Sports Management, Business, Public Relations, Emerging Media, or a related field. Be capable of working with the Adobe Creative Suite in programs such as PhotoShop, InDesign, Premier Pro, After Effects, etc. necessary for content creation.

The candidate for this position can receive credit hours toward their degree.
