Ambassador

Ambassadors are the core of our work within the Admission Office. The primary focus for an Ambassador is to interact with prospective families. This role includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Campus Tours
- Duties: in-person and virtual daily tours for visiting families; event tours
- Office Work
- Answering phones, mailing/filing, organizing, mingling with families while waiting for visits, various staff projects
- Event Management
- Duties: event registration, escorting, parking signs, panels, wayfinding and more!
- Events: Scholarship competitions, open house, preview day, etc.
- Calling
- Duties: calling various populations of students following a call campaign calendar. Examples include pushing students to apply, to visit, to deposit, event reminders and more.
- Overnight Host
- Duties: hosting prospective students overnight in your residence hall
- Other duties may include, but are not limited to hosting families for a meal in campus dining, various staff projects as assigned, data & research projects

Work with Capital Sports Information to generate game statistics for Capital basketball, baseball, softball, lacrosse, soccer, volleyball and/or football games.

Attend Capital University home athletic contests and capture photos to be used for website releases, graphics, etc. by the athletic department and the sole discretion of the Sports Information Director. America Reads Tutor
|
America Reads is a nationwide literacy project with the goal of teaching the majority of children to read well and independently by the end of the third grade. Tutors will work with students in after-school programs who, in most cases, are performing below their expected academic level. Tutors will work regularly with the same students to allow a relationship between tutor and student to be built which will allow for greater learning potential for the student.
