The position of Academic Technology Assistant performs many diverse duties at Capital University. Summer Resident Student Assistant Students hired for this position assist the Meeting and Events staff during summer camps and conferences; the position may also require occasional work on other summer events. The job will require work at various times of the day, evenings, and overnights; you will be scheduled for the entire summer camp season after the second week of May. Ambassador Ambassadors are the core of our work within the Admission Office. The primary focus for an Ambassador is to interact with prospective families. This role includes, but is not limited to the following: - Campus Tours - Duties: in-person and virtual daily tours for visiting families; event tours - Office Work - Answering phones, mailing/filing, organizing, mingling with families while waiting for visits, various staff projects - Event Management - Duties: event registration, escorting, parking signs, panels, wayfinding and more! - Events: Scholarship competitions, open house, preview day, etc. - Calling - Duties: calling various populations of students following a call campaign calendar. Team Members will assist with sorting and performing contactless delivery to students in quarantine within University housing. America Reads Tutor America Reads is a nationwide literacy project with the goal of teaching the majority of children to read well and independently by the end of the third grade. Tutors will work with students in after-school programs who, in most cases, are performing below their expected academic level. Tutors will work regularly with the same students to allow a relationship between tutor and student to be built which will allow for greater learning potential for the student. SCE-America Reads
