A variety of fast food places to choose from

Indian Food

Inexpensive meats

Corn on the cob

Ranch dressing… non-vinaigrette dressings

Stuffing

Chicken Strips

Wendy’s Dollar Menu… c’mon, it’s a dollar!!!

RALLY’S!!!  Milkshakes, fries, burgers, and more cholesterol than you need in a month!

Italian Subs (they’re not really Italian... go figure!)

Ruben Sandwiches

Salad Bars

The ability to eat a Salad as a whole meal

This order of food: Bread, Salad, Main course/veggie, dessert/coffee.  The end.

Things I don’t miss about food from home:

Not being able to eat as much as I have on my plate (here it’s healthy)

Pasta…

Lack of freshest foods

Expensive produce

Preservatives

Bad coffee

Expensive wine

Same old, Same old

Cholesto-Fests (even though that is what we miss!!!)

Bad Ice cream

Paying a buck for a small bottle of water (here it’s 35 cents)

Bad, expensive olive oil

Paying more than 65 cents for a bottle of red wine vinegar

Brussels Sprouts

Small cloves of garlic (and paying 5 times as much for one)

Pitted Olives w/ pimento, because the red things are gross

Shopping at Wal-Mart or other big stores

Driving to the grocery store

Canned pineapple

Wow, I totally sympathise. I lived in the states for some time and missed UK food so much. Having said that it was still great to be in the wonderful USA and so many of the foods you mentioned has started me drooling haha.

Thanks for your blog, I really enjoyed reading it, you'd probably like mine too. Keep on writing....I really miss Taco Bell...

I will make sure we go to Fridays for happy hour when you get - all the half-price appetizers you can eat - and I will treat. We are looking forward to seeing you again and looking at all of your wonderful pictures. My love to you and Kevin.
