Commencement Volunteer

2024 Spring Commencement Volunteer Opportunities

The Commencement Committee and the Office of Meeting and Event Services need your help in making the day a success!

On Wednesday, May 8, volunteers will be needed from 4:30pm-8pm for the Graduate Student Commencement and Hooding, taking place in the Conservatory of Music’s Mees Hall. Light refreshments are available afterwards.

On Saturday, May 11, volunteers will be needed from 9am through 5pm for the 174th Undergraduate Commencement ceremonies, Capital Center’s Field House. There are two sessions this year. Volunteers may sign up in various shifts. Hospitality and catering will be provided for all volunteers.

Volunteering at Commencement is a great way for faculty and staff to say farewell to the students they have watched grow over the past years, and a way for students to see their fellow classmates become Capital graduates.
