How Art Therapy Can Help Adoptees Find Belonging

Social work major Rei Scott spent her summer on research that’s personal for her. Working with faculty mentor Rachel Nelms, Rei explored "Effective Art Therapy for Adoptees," looking at how creative expression can help adoptees work through identity, belonging and the experiences that shape them. She drew on her own story and her passion for the topic, and the result is research grounded in lived experience that’s focused on helping others heal.
