Summer at Capital University brings a different rhythm to campus, with adjusted hours, summer programming, construction projects, and modified operations across many offices and facilities.
To help students, faculty, staff, and visitors stay informed, the information below outlines Summer 2026 hours, holiday closures, and key contact information for campus services and resources.
University Closed

Advising Office
- Advising Office will be covered remotely for the Summer 2026, virtual coverage by email or Zoom meetings (by appointment)

Gear Shop
Starting May 11:
- Monday – Friday open 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- August 17 resume normal hours Monday – Friday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Capital Center
- Monday – Thursday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- Fridays open 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Saturday – Sunday: Closed
- The Capital Center will be closed to ALL students, employees, and membership holders due to the ongoing construction of the new track area. Additional closures may be announced once the project is underway. During this time, the athletics staff will be working remotely and can be reached by email and phone (office or cell as appropriate).
Cap Cupboard & Cap Closet
- Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Please go to either 121 or 110 Student Union to access the spaces
- Email capcupboard@capital.edu to set up an appointment if you are unable to meet during these times
Capital Dining
- Main Dining Room closed until first camp in June (faculty and staff welcome to dine-in or to-go on camp days)
- Camp schedule – MDR open June 8 – 13 and 15 – 18 (Lunch Only)
