Biography

Debbie Fournier, BSW, MSW, LISWS has been Field Education Director for the BSW Program at Capital University since 2019. She served as adjunct faculty at Capital and The Ohio State University since 2003. Debbie earned her BSW and MSW from the Ohio State University. She served as a Clinical Medical Social worker at Nationwide Children’s hospital for 27 years. Her areas of specialization are child abuse/neglect, critical care, grief and loss, trauma, crisis intervention, social work education, and program development. She was instrumental in creating positions for BSW field instruction at Nationwide Childrens Hospital and other macro-practice settings. She has taught both graduate and undergraduates in social work courses and in the field.
