Biography
Anthony Marcum is an Assistant Professor at Capital University Law School, where he teaches Civil Procedure and Administrative Law. His research focuses on legislation, judicial administration, and separation of powers. His commentary has appeared in The Washington Post, USA Today, NBC News, and Politico, among others.
Before joining Capital, Professor Marcum was a Clinical Teaching Fellow at Georgetown University Law Center's Federal Legislation Clinic. He also served as an Adjunct Professor at George Washington University's Graduate School of Political Management, where he taught a course on the institutional and political relationship between Congress and the federal courts.
Earlier in his career, he served as Counsel to U.S. Senator Ben Sasse and as a Resident Fellow at the R Street Institute. He also practiced law in Michigan and clerked for U.S. magistrate judges in West Virginia and New Hampshire.
Professor Marcum earned a B.A. from The Ohio State University, a J.D. from Rutgers Law School, and an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center.
