RE: Presidential Search Listening Sessions and Survey
The search process for Capital University’s next president is underway. The members of the search committee will be finalized this week. The committee will consist of seven trustees, three faculty, one administrator, one staff, and one student. Our intent is to select the new president this summer.
We have retained the national search firm Academic Search to assist us in the search. To begin the process, our search consultants, Dr. Jay Lemons, Dr. Pam Balch, and Jennifer Kooken, will be at Capital January 13-15. They will be conducting a number of listening sessions (listed below) so all stakeholders can have a voice early in the process.
The goal of the listening sessions is for Academic Search to learn about Capital's culture, strengths, priorities, opportunities, and future leadership needs, and to assist the search committee in the establishment of the candidate criteria for this important role. We encourage you to attend a listening session and share your insights.
To further engage the university community, we are also conducting an anonymous survey to solicit additional input for the search committee. The deadline to provide a survey response is Friday, January 17.
Soon we will launch a presidential search web page where we will share the timeline, search committee members, and other pertinent information as the search moves forward.
Your participation in this process is integral to our success in identifying Capital's next leader. We thank you in advance for your input and participation.
