Biography

Dr. Leigh Anne Meyer is an Assistant Professor in Nursing at Capital University. She has over 12 years of experience teaching in higher education nursing programs and is a certified nurse educator. Dr. Meyer is passionate about supporting learner success and wellbeing. She has expertise in a variety of clinical specialties, including nursing care in medical-surgical, emergency, trauma, cardiac, cardiothoracic surgery, and ambulatory care settings. Dr. Meyer continues to practice clinically as a contingent bedside nurse.

Dr. Meyer’s scholarly interests are in supporting clinician wellness and self-care efficacy development in nurses and nursing students at both individual and system levels. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society and the Ohio League for Nursing, and actively serves within the community.
