Biography

Diane Patterson graduated from the University of Cincinnati School of Nursing in 1983. After graduation, she worked at OSU on the Surgical Oncology Unit for two years where she earned an Oncology Certification before returning to OSU School of Nursing for her MS/CNS in 1986. Before coming to Capital in 1994, Diane worked in clinical research for the National Cancer Institute as a case manager with both inpatient and outpatient clients primarily in the areas of radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Since coming to Capital, Diane has served as Faculty Chair of the University Senate, Chair of the School of Nursing Curriculum Committee and completed an Advanced Holistic Nursing Certification. Having completed her DNP, she currently serves as Associate Dean for the Pre-Licensure Nursing Program which includes both the Traditional and Accelerated Nursing tracks.
