Supporting Your Student

The transition to college is a time of growth, independence, and discovery. You can play an important role by encouraging your student to get involved on campus, reminding them to take advantage of academic and support resources, and being a steady source of encouragement. Recognizing that challenges are a natural part of the college experience can also help you provide the understanding and perspective they need to succeed.

Stay Connected

There are many ways to stay engaged with what’s happening at Capital. Families can stay informed by reading university news and communications, following Capital on social media, and attending campus events and signature traditions throughout the year. Just as important, regular conversations with your student about their experiences can help you stay connected and offer meaningful support from wherever you are.

Student Accounts

Capital University issues billing statements each semester. Undergraduate students enrolled in 12 or more credit hours are considered full-time. Semester charges may vary based on housing assignments, meal plans, course fees, and other applicable expenses.

Students can access their billing information through MyCap by selecting the Student Finance tile. Once billing has been finalized for the semester, students will receive a notification at their Capital University email address directing them to review their account.
