Meal Plan Descriptions

Ultimate Plus 
The Ultimate Plus plan encourages a more natural, flexible style of eating. Eat whenever you are hungry, and eat as much or as little as you care to eat. This plan offers an unlimited number of swipes in the Capital Court Dining Room.

  • Unlimited Swipes for our all-you-care-to-eat Capital Court Dining Room
  • $200 Capital Bucks to spend at on-campus dining venues and at participating off-campus restaurants
  • 5 Guest Meals per semester to use at Capital Court
  • 1 Meal Exchange per day at One Main Café
  • Required for all first-year residents, and optional for sophomores, juniors and seniors who live on campus

240 Block
This plan allows 240 meal swipes per semester to use any time in our all-you-care-to-eat Capital Court Dining Room or One Main Café. This plan is great for sophomores, juniors and seniors who live on campus without a kitchen, or any commuters. 

  • 240 swipes for the semester
  • $400 Capital Bucks to spend at on-campus dining venues and at participating off-campus restaurants
  • Sophomore, juniors, and seniors who live on campus without a kitchen are required to choose between The Ultimate Plus, 240 Block, 200 Block or 125 Block meal plans

200 Block
This plan allows 200 meal swipes per semester to use any time in our all-you-care-to-eat Capital Court Dining Room or One Main Café.

  • 200 swipes for the semester
  • $300 Capital Bucks to spend at on-campus dining venues and at participating off-campus restaurants
  • Sophomore, juniors, and seniors who live on campus without a kitchen are required to choose between The Ultimate Plus, 240 Block, 200 Block or 125 Block meal plans

125 Block
This plan allows 125 meal swipes per semester to use any time in our all-you-care-to-eat Capital Court Dining Room or One Main Café. This plan is great for sophomores, juniors and seniors who live on campus without a kitchen.

  • 125 swipes for the semester
  • $300 Capital Bucks to spend at on-campus dining venues and at participating off-campus restaurants
  • Sophomore, juniors, and seniors who live on campus without a kitchen are required to choose between The Ultimate Plus, 240 Block, 200 Block or 125 Block meal plans

Commuter Meal Plans  

Freedom 100
This plan allows 100 meal swipes per semester at our all-you-care-to-eat Capital Court Dining Room. This is the ideal flexible option for commuters on the go!   

  • 100 swipes for the semester
  • $150 Capital Bucks to spend at on-campus dining venues and at participating off-campus restaurants
  • 5 Guest Meals per semester to use at Capital Court

Freedom 50
This plan allows 50 meal swipes per semester at our all-you-care-to-eat Capital Court Dining Room.

  • 50 swipes for the semester
  • $150 Capital Bucks to spend at on-campus dining venues and at participating off-campus restaurants
  • 5 Guest Meals per semester to use at Capital Court

Meal Plan Changes

Residential Students

First-Year and Transfer Students

ALL First Year and Transfer in their first year living on campus are required to have the Ultimate Plus plan for the entire academic year.

Upper-class Students

Upper-class students who live in the neighborhood and commuter students can choose any of the available meal plans, including the Freedom 100 and Freedom 50.

Upperclassmen and Transfers living on campus (those with 16 or more hours), can submit meal plan changes for Fall on or before the second Friday of classes. All students may request a meal plan change for the Spring Semester on or before the second Friday of Spring classes.

Commuter Students

Commuter students wanting to add, or make a change to their meal plan, should email Residence Life so your account can be adjusted.


Capital Dining Disclosure

All funds and plans purchased for use in the Capital Dining program are for the personal use of the account owner and are non-transferrable. Unused meal plans expire at the end of each semester. Capital Bucks associated with meal plans and those purchased above and beyond those associated with meal plans, will carry over from the Fall to the Spring Semester, expiring at the last day of the spring semester.

All meal plan and student Capital Bucks purchases are non-refundable. All purchases are considered final.

For students who withdraw from the University, meal plans will be refunded on a pro-rated basis as determined by the Office of Residential and Commuter Life and in accordance with the University’s policies.
