Adult Skills Education Award
Eligibility: Must be a U.S citizen or permanent resident enrolling in a participating college career. Minimum age is 19. Must complete the NCCT educational success potential assessment.
Deadline: June 30
Air Force Spouse Scholarship
To aid in air force spouses who wish to pursue undergraduate and graduate degrees.
Eligibility: Must be the spouse of active duty members of the U.S air force, national guard, or air force reserve. Must be accepted or enrolled at an accredited university and have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Deadline: April 30
Alpha Kappa Alpha Financial Need Scholars
Purpose: to assist undergraduate and graduate students who have overcome hardship to achieve educational goals.
Eligibility: Must be studying full time at the sophomore level or higher at an accredited university. GPA must be 3.0 or higher. Must demonstrate leadership, volunteer, civic or academic service.
Deadline: April 15 and August 15
Purpose: to provide education assistance in exchange for community service
Eligibility: Must be at least 17 years old. Must be available to serve full-time for one year at a nonprofit organization or local government agency with an objective that may include fighting illiteracy, improving health services, creating businesses or strengthening community groups.
Purpose: To encourage students to think about their financial futures.
Eligibility: Must write a 700-1,400 word essay on the financial topic provided.
Deadline: May 1
Christopher’s Video contest for College Students
Purpose: to support college students who believe in The Christopher’s mission that any one person can make a difference.
Eligibility: Must be a current undergraduate or graduate level college students and U.S citizens. Selection is based on the video submitted and how well it depicts the theme of “one person can make a difference.”
Deadline: December 16
Purpose: to support high school and college students
Eligibility: Must register online with CKSF complete quizzes on various topics. Must be high school or college student.
Purpose: to help student plan financially for college
Eligibility: Must be attending a high school or university. Winners are selected from those who enroll in the CollegeSTEPS program.
Deadline: August 13
Copyright Awareness Scholarship
Purpose: To support students interested in educating their peers via video about the laws surrounding intellectual property and copyright. Eligibility: Must be legal residents of the U.S and be currently enrolled at a university in the U.S. Must be between 13-25 years of age. A video submission that accurately illustrates the applicant’s viewpoint of the importance of intellectual property and copyright law is required. Selection is based on the overall quality of the video submission.

Davis- Putter fund
Purpose: To assist students who are both academically capable and who aid the progressive movement for peace and justice both on campus and in their communities.
Eligibility: Must be undergraduate or graduate students who participate in the progressive movement, acting in the interests of issues such as expansion of civil rights and international solidarity, as well as a solid academic record.
Amount: up to $10,000
Deadline: April 1
Digital privacy scholarship
Purpose: To help students understand why it’s important to be cautious about what they post on the internet.
Eligibility: No age limit. Must be a U.S citizen or legal resident.
A 140 character message is required by all applicants. The top 10 finalists must write a full length essay.
Deadline: June 30
Dosomething.org seasonal scholarships
Eligibility: Must be 26 or younger and be a U.S or Canadian citizen. There is a new scholarship each quarter. Selection is based on a random drawing of all students who participate in the campaign.
Hit the books scholarship
Purpose: to support college students between 18 and 25 years of age with college expenses through an essay contest that includes their passion for coffee in the content.
Deadline: September 30 and January 31
Mary Cone Barrie Scholarship
Purpose: to support “new traditional learners” dedicated to learning throughout a lifetime by utilizing continuing education.
Eligibility: Must be enrolled at an accredited university. Applicants should be returning to school as continuing education students. Both the applicant and the college must complete the application. Selection is based upon dedication to lifelong learning and the overall strength of the application.
Deadline: June 12
Sallie Mae $1,000 sweepstakes
Purpose: to help students pay for college
Eligibility: Register on Sallie Mae’s website. Each month one registered user is selected in a random drawing.
Scholarship Opportunities for Success
Purpose: Helps women with low income with financial aid for higher education
Eligibility: Applications are accepted from adult women residents of Central Ohio who are living near the poverty level and are US citizens.
Amount: Up to $5,000
Deadline: May 31st
Stephen J Brady STOP hunger scholarship
Purpose: to aid students who have been active in the movement to eradicate hunger. Eligibility: Must have been active in at least one unpaid volunteer effort to end hunger during the past 12 months. Sodexo employees are ineligible.
Deadline: December 5

Purpose: to assist students who have volunteered
